Cuban Styled Tamales

The link below is a graphical guide to making this rather labor intensive dish. You basically brown the ground pork, seasoning to taste along with the vegies, and then tomato paste. Mush up some maiz (corn for you gringo types) as directed, assemble and enjoy. This would be much easier to show on my own television show "Cooking with Me", Vincent Penoso hosts his own cooking show from his kitchen with his wife and daughter helping with the prep work.

· 2-3 lbs-ground pork
· 4-6 lbs kernel corn
· 2 onions (1)
· 1/2 half bell pepper chopped
· clove garlic (3)
· 1 tsp. chipolte pepper powder
· cappers (1tbsn)
· fat momma spanish olives with or without pimentos (doz. or so)
· 1-can tomato paste or sauce
· 4-tbsn chili powder (2-hot; 2-texas)
· cayenne pepper to taste
· salt
· pepper
· MSG (optional)
· ½ cup safflower oil (any will do)
· 1-cup corn meal (Goya brand coarse or whatever)
· commercial aluminum foil sheets precut and easy to use.
· small can of cream style corn
